As a trained artist, I have explored a wide variety of media ranging from drawing, sculpture to site specific installation in my artistic practice. Currently mainly painting in acrlics on canvas or paper, my work explores architecture and the remains of human activity in landscape.

I have had a longstanding fascination with the Welsh landscape, since first visiting as a teenager.
I am equally inspired by the industrial past of the south Wales valleys as well as industrial sites within Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, the slate mines of north Wales or pre-historic sites close to my home or further afield in the Preseli Hills. My work also draws inspiration from visits to UK coastlines in Pembrokeshire and beyond.

Having lived in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) national park since early 2024, I have focused on highlighting the industrial heritage of my direct surroundings in my work.

While the industrial heritage of the Welsh valleys is well known and documented in art, the industrial history of the Usk Valley - with sites like Llangattock escarpment, tramways and tunnels around Clydach gorge, or the huge number of quarries - is often overlooked when people first perceive the natural beauty of the national park. Exploring these besides the famous sites like Blaenavon Ironworks and Big Pit has provided me with a huge variety of inspiring subject matter for current and future work.
