Val spent the first twenty years of her career in the film industry and she has spent over twenty years since in the art world. A keen art collector from her twenties, Val is passionate about art being accessible to everyone. She started painting when she turned sixty.

I have two wonderful galleries,The Table & The Chair, that I curate for artists whose work quite simply appeals to me

I want to support artists, curators and indeed all creatives and offer gallery space to my public

I believe that the art market is changing and we need to change with it

COVID enabled and supported artists with direct selling … let’s carry on supporting them!

Galleries closed and never reopened so I am inundated with artists wanting to show work

I want to make films about artists … I want to make films about curation

if you don’t find me in one or other of my galleries I will be on the road filming with my artists

What do you want from me?

Artists:

  • bare walls, key to the door & an invitation to show for £800 per week

  • gallery invitation design with jpeg to email and/or you can print

  • prior studio visit: crit work, choose work, studio film, mentor website & IG*

  • hang work with gallery film interview*

  • gallery e-catalogue design (up to 50 images) £300

  • I will come and tell your story .. your own edited film from studio visit to gallery PV*

  • My publicity machine and contacts .. collaborative publicity

Curators:

Clients:

  • my selection of artists and curators

  • exhibiting a broad house style where work hangs together

  • confidence in buying an artist’s work
